CAO Available Places 2026
Available Places are courses that still have spaces available at DkIT after CAO offers have been given out. If you are unhappy with the offer you received or if you haven't been given an offer through CAO, then you can apply for a new course through the Available Places facility through the CAO website.
Available Places for September 2026 Entry
You can apply for the following courses at DkIT using the CAO Available Places facility for entry for the 2026/2027 academic year. The Available Place facility will open on Thursday, 27th August at 12:00 noon.

Courses with Available Places
How do I apply for courses through Available Places?
You can apply for courses through Available Places through the CAO website. Available Places will open for applications on Thursday, 27th August at 12:00 noon.
New Applicants including Northern Ireland applicants
If you havent applied (including new Northern Ireland students) through CAO already, you can apply to CAO Available Places on payment of a fee of €45.00. To apply visit the CAO website.
Current CAO Applicants
If you are already a CAO applicant then you can apply for an Available Place without any more fees. To apply for these courses, log in to your application on the CAO website using ‘My Application’. Then, click on ‘Add Level 8 Available Place Course’ or ‘Add Level 7/6 Available Place Course’ and follow the instructions, depending on your course of interest.
