Course Overview

This course will teach students the fundamentals of creating and managing an event, spanning from the beginning of planning to post-event analysis.

Students will be involved in planning and organising events including working on client briefs, carrying out risk assessments, designing presentations and producing reports. With their expertise in event management and marketing, they will learn how to elevate brands, connect communities, and shape memorable moments that drive business success.

Work placement

In Year 2 students undertake a 18-week industry work placement. This gives students a much broader experience for both their soft skills and technical skills. They can also gain contacts in industry to help them in their future career.

Education Progression

Graduates will be able to progress to Level 9 and 10 postgraduate degree courses, such as the MA in Tourism and Heritage Management
