Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing fields in technology, and demand for skilled professionals across Ireland and beyond has never been higher.
This four-year Honours degree gives you the technical depth and practical experience to meet that demand head-on. You'll build a strong foundation in networking, systems administration and programming before progressing to advanced topics including ethical hacking, penetration testing, forensic computing, cloud security and security operations.
In third year, you'll take on a group project where you'll design and build a Computing Infrastructure — then defend, attack and monitor it. You'll also gain real-world experience through a work placement or semester abroad, putting your skills into practice in a professional environment.
Your final year brings it all together with a Capstone Project, advanced exploitation techniques, security data analytics and governance — preparing you to hit the ground running as a cybersecurity professional.
Whether you're coming straight from school, returning to education or looking to move into tech, this programme gives you everything you need to build a career protecting the systems and networks that businesses depend on.
