DkIT's International Tourism Management and Marketing and International Tourism Management students take part in Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme hosted by IUT de Lens

BA (Hons) in International Tourism Management and BA (Hons) in Marketing and International Tourism Management students from the Department of Hospitality Studies, Dundalk Institute of Technology, had the opportunity to participate in an enriching Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Tourism with ISPGAYA, Portugal and Academia de Studii Economice din București, Romania hosted by the amazing IUT de Lens, France. This opportunity further strengthened DkIT’s tourism, language and cultural affiliations with its Erasmus partner institutions.

Students worked hard on ‘The City Break in France’ project, during which they also had the opportunity to visit Canadian National Vimy Memorial, Carrière Wellington in Arras and the Louvre-Lens Museum, an immersive cultural experience for the group. This exchange afforded the students opportunity to develop professionally, thus promoting inclusion, creativity, and innovation in the multi-cultural learning environment in France.

There has been a marked growth in the students’ confidence following this project and the class is now considering further Erasmus exchanges in 2025/2026.

A sincere thank you to our Educational Partners, The Erasmus+ Programme, and the International Office here at DkIT.
