Course Summary

The BA (Honours) in Event Management with Marketing has been designed to produce work-ready graduates in the fields of event management and specialised areas of marketing. This course introduces an assortment of modules which build the graduate’s comprehension, over the course of their studies about the broad areas of events management.

This course is designed to deliver a combination of both practical and theoretical modules to prepare the students to work in the discipline areas of event management and marketing. Students will develop an understanding of the key market segments in the events industry to produce products and services which meet the needs of customers within a dynamic national and international marketplace. 

The course will enable students to understand these functional areas from both an operational and strategic perspective and give them the necessary theoretical understanding and practical experience in all aspects of the industry.

Leaving Certificate Entry Requirements:

Six Grades at O6 or H7 in Leaving Certificate

→ INCLUDING At least two H5 Grades
→ AND Mathematics Grade O6 or H7
→ AND English Grade O6 or H7 OR Irish Grade O6 or H7


Northern Ireland/UK Entry Requirements:

Applicants must meet the matriculation requirement of 6 different subjects which must include:

→ Mathematics at GCSE (Grade A* - C) or better
→ English (or Irish) at GCSE (Grade A* - C) or better
→ Two subjects at either:

    • ‘A Level’ (Grade A* - C)
    • AND/OR Applied A-Level (Grade A* - C)
    • AND/OR BTEC National Level 3 (National Award, Subsidiary Diploma, Extended Certificate, 90-Credit Diploma, Foundation Diploma) (Grade Merit or Distinction).

→ The remaining subjects must be different from that presented above and may be drawn from recognised subjects at:
