Applying as an International Student
Get information on how to apply to any Undergraduate or Postgraduate course at DkIT as an International (EU or Non-EU) student.

Undergraduate Courses
EU Applicants
(and Non-EU Applicants living in the EU)
If you're an EU national or a non-EU national living in the EU and want to enter a DkIT course at Undergraduate 1st year level, you must apply in the standard way through the CAO. Non-EU Applicants — Apply Online
Non-EU applicants applying for one of the courses at DkIT, please apply online via the link below. Simply choose your course of interest and hit apply, please provide the following documents with your application:
- Academic transcripts
- Degree certificate (if applicable)
- IELTS (or equivalent) transcripts
- Passport copy
International applications for Year 1 programmes and for the International Foundation Programme close on 31st May. International applications for all other programmes close on 1st May.
If your application is successful, you will receive an initial letter of offer either directly or through the offices of the agency.
You must then pay the fees for the first year of the programme in full and and provide evidence of a health insurance policy. Once your fees have been lodged in full to the DkIT account, a final letter of offer will be issued. You will need this letter in order to apply for a student visa. Visa applications are made to your local Irish Embassy or Consulate or to the Department of Justice in Ireland. If your visa application is refused, you can apply to the Institute regarding a refund.
Postgraduate Courses
All Postgraduate applications should be made directly to Dundalk Institute of Technology through the Online Applications System. Please see individual course pages for specific entry requirements and application deadlines.
