Research has been a key feature of the Music & Media Department since its foundation and underpins the academic work of the Department.
The Creative Arts Research Centre brings together researchers from music and media and aims to form synergies between the arts and humanities and innovative technologies without undermining the integrity of core disciplines.
Éistigí builds upon the success of previous instalments of DkIT’s Music Research Colloquium, while Picteilín continues its focus on creative media and game studies research.
The focus of this project is on offering relevant education and progression opportunities to those already "in employment".
The University of Limerick and Dundalk Institute of Technology have been working closely to identify the needs of people at work.
The Software Technology Research Centre (SToRC) has as its core mission to engage in sectorally-significant research in selected software technology areas.
Our Mission is to establish the Regulated Software Research Centre (RSRC) as a world leader in the development of methods and tools to assist medical device manufacturers comply with the regulatory requirements related to the development of medical device software, whether embedded within the device, standalone, or as part of a networked medical device while improving the efficiency of the medical device software development lifecycle.
