Workshop
DkIT

This workshop aims to familiarize primary school children with the hospital environment and procedures, making it less intimidating and demystifying the experience for them. Additionally, students will introduced to the world of Science and Microbiology, where they will donn their lab coats and test teddy’s blood for infection in our new state of the art Science labs.
Children are encouraged to bring their teddy bears to our hospital. Here, they will interact with our team of nurses, midwives & early years educators who will conduct check-ups and perform tests to ensure teddy’s well-being. Just as in real life, the workshop includes visits to several areas in the hospital:

  • Teddy Triage
  • Teddy Hospital Ward,
  • Teddy Diagnostic Lab
  • Discharge garden for teddies who are ready to return home.
  • Teddy may also undergo a variety of procedures including examinations, x-rays, pulse, temperature and oxygen level checks, blood tests, breathing tests, and balance tests.

After diagnosis by the Science and Nursing team, Teddy will be undergo treatment. Treatments will involve the use of bandages, plasters, slings, and medicines. Even pregnant teddies can have an examination to check on their baby. All activities are designed to be fun and engaging.
