This year, a visit to Orla’s GERM LAB will see students complete The Magic of Poo workshop, a fun interactive session where students will complete a digestion experiment- an activity designed to engage younger children to learn about their digestive system and how it processes food and makes poo!
Children will make their own imitation poo in a bag, yes some squelchy fun! The activity will focus on how the beneficial microbes in our gut help digestion and how feeding them the right food will keep you feeling fit and happy!
Kids will be introduced to what food types help feed their good bugs. In addition, children will use microscopes, complete hand hygiene experiments, and no doubt amaze us during a science art competition.
