During this talk, I will introduce students to the different bacteria that we might ingest or come in contact with when preparing food: the good (beneficial bacteria), the bad (spoilage bacteria) and the ugly (food pathogens). I will also go through basic food safety practices to avoid food poisoning and highlight the importance of hand washing as part of good hygiene.
