DkIT Staff Celebrate Life, Works and Values of Dorothy Macardle
03 March 2017A weekend of words, music and drama celebrating the life of Dundalk-born Dorothy Macardle will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Dundalk Gaol.
Organised by The Dorothy McArdle Society in association with Louth County Libraries Service and the Oriel Centre, the weekend is called “An Unrepentant Propagandist’.
The festival will celebrate the life, works and values of Dundalk-born suffragette, socialist, author, playwright, historian, journalist, teacher and humanitarian Dorothy Macardle who lived from 1889 to 1958.
Various DkIT staff are involved in the three-day event including Head of School of Engineering, Tom Dooley and Mark Fearon, Programme Director, Performing Arts who will chair two sessions and Dr Daithí Kearney who will perform at the event.
