Course Overview
This beginners 10-week welding course is designed to kickstart your welding career, providing you with the welding techniques and confidence required to pursue a career in the welding industry. This course introduces different welding techniques used in industry.
Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and learn the basics of welding as well as the opportunity to specialise in the area of welding that is of particular interest to them. The course is suitable for a wide range of students and craft persons, for example: the self-employed, farmers and young people who are new entrants to the industry.
Course Delivery and Modules
One class of two hours per week for 10 weeks running as follows:
GROUP 1: Tuesdays - 7.00pm - 9.00pm (starts 1st October) - CLASS FULL
GROUP 2: Wednesdays - 7.00pm - 9.00pm (starts 2nd October) - CLASS FULL

- Regulator settings and gas bottle construction
- Calibration

- Welding in horizontal and vertical positions

If the numbers for one of the Award options exceed available places, students for this option will be selected based on Academic Merit (highest grades).
