Biography

Dr Orla Sherlock (Microbiologist) is a gradate of both DkIT and SETU. In her career to date, Orla has been employed as a research fellow worldwide (US Naval Base, Danish Technological University, Queensland University, and RCSI Dublin) and has published 20+ peer reviewed research articles.
Orla is now a full time lecturer in DkIT on a variety of programmes accross the School of Health and Science. Her interest in public engagement has led to her most recent projects-the development of an outreach Lab -The Germ Lab and an outreach website for DkIT-https://www.dkit.ie/science-outreach
