Biography

Dr. Gilberto Silva Nunes Bezerra joined the Department of Life & Health Sciences at DkIT in 2025. A pharmacist by training with a PhD in Polymer Engineering focused on Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, his work sits at the intersection of microbiology and advanced drug delivery systems.

Gilberto currently lectures on several specialized modules, where he integrates his academic research background with practical industry insights gained during his time as a Science Graduate at Boston Scientific. His research profile includes over 30 peer-reviewed publications and a strong history of international collaboration.
