The Smooth Muscle Research Centre have been awarded €7.7 million from the European Union Interreg VA Health & Life Science programme. They will lead a project in collaboration with Queens University Belfast and the University of the West of Scotland to form the Borders & Regions Airways Training Hub (BREATH). This funding will lead to the recruitment of 16 PhD students, 5 Post Doctoral Research Fellows and a Clinical Fellow across the Hub.
