Student films shortlisted for this year’s Royal Television Society Student Awards
Several student films were shortlisted for this year’s Royal Television Society Student Awards, recently held at Virgin Media Television studios. Coming Second, a major project comedy drama, was awarded Best Script, while The Real Cian Stanley, also a major project, won Best Audio.
Coming Second, follows Abigail, a young woman raised in a strict, extremist religious family, whose faith is shaken when she is told by an angel that she is pregnant with the Second Coming of Christ. The Real Cian Stanley documents personal reflections on the defining highs and lows in life. Meanwhile, The Fossetts: Behind the Curtain, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and challenges faced by a family running a circus business, revealing the hard work that goes on beyond the spotlight.
