Maths Week takes place annually in October and provides an opportunity to promote the enjoyment and relevance of mathematics among young learners.

The Department of Computing Science and Mathematics at DkIT offers school visits during Maths Week for primary and secondary schools. Through interactive talks and activities, students will discover how mathematics plays a vital role in areas such as computing, artificial intelligence, gaming, engineering, data science and everyday decision-making.

Our aim is to inspire students to see maths in a new light, develop problem-solving skills and explore exciting educational and career opportunities that involve mathematics.

Sessions can be adapted for:

  • 5th and 6th Class Primary School students
  • 5th Year and 6th Year Secondary School students
