Leaving Certificate Applicants

Republic of Ireland Leaving Certificate applicants applying for a first-year, full-time undergraduate course at DkIT must apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO).

Northern Ireland/UK Applicants

Mature Applicants

Applications for mature students must be made directly to CAO. Any applicant 23 years of age or over on 1st January in the year of entry to first year of a full-time programme is considered to be a mature applicant

QQI-Further Education Applicants

We welcome applications from students presenting QQI (formerly known as FET/FETAC) Level 5/6 awards.

EU Applicants

We welcome EU Applicants with high-school qualifications from a European Union or European Free Trade Association country.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) Applicants

Holders of the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) apply in the normal way through the Central Applications Office (CAO) system.

DARE Applicants

The Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) is a third level supplementary admissions scheme for school leavers who, because of the impact of their disability may not meet the competitive CAO points for the programme of their choice. DkIT is a participating college in the DARE Scheme.

HEAR Applicants

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Advanced Entry Applicants

Students can apply to DkIT to transfer into 2nd, 3rd or 4th year on most of our Undergraduate courses via our Online Applications Portal.
