Louth and the North East is rich in ancient history and heritage.  Travelling through this region of Ireland’s Ancient East students can experience 5,000 years of history from breath-taking natural landscapes, to some of the most historic and ancient-sites in Ireland, the variety in the North East is truly remarkable.

This area really has it all, from Blue Flag beaches with picturesque coastal villages to vibrant towns, showcasing nationally acclaimed arts festivals, museums, galleries, historic houses and gardens.  Students of DkIT can experience a wide range of outdoor pursuits and adventure sports on land or sea.

The campus is located on the outskirts of Dundalk, a town famous for its eclectic music scene. From traditional Irish music sessions in local pubs, to gigs from up and coming performers in intimate venues – music lovers will be in their element.
