Ms Roisin Carolan

Biography

Following her move to Dundalk Institute of Technology as Assistant Lecturer, Roisín brings with her over 20 years of extensive experience within Ireland’s dynamic tourism industry.

Her career to date has spanned a diverse range of sectors across tourism, including working with a worldwide hotel chain, two global Destination Management Companies (DMC), and a multi-award-winning convention centre- The CCD in Dublin. This breadth of experience provided her with a comprehensive understanding of both client expectations and supplier challenges — insight that proved invaluable throughout her time in the industry.

Roisín combines her academic knowledge with real-world industry expertise, enriching the learning experience of her students through practical insight, current industry relevance, and a passion for Irish tourism.
