Mrs Farjana Akter

Post Grad Student

Biography

Farjana Akter is a PhD research student in center for freshwater at DkIT. She started her PhD in November 2023 and her project entitled “Predicting the impact of climate change on Irish cereal crops and developing adaptation strategies”  which is fully funded by Teagasc Walash scholarship. In this four-year PhD program, Farjana will study how climate change will impact the Irish cereal crop development and production (focusing on wheat and barley mainly) using different crop growth simulation models and projected climate data from Met Eireann across various sites and seasons in Ireland.
