Dr Deirdre O'Malley
Biography
Dr Deirdre O'Malley is a Lecturer in Midwifery in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Early Years in Dundalk Institute of Technology. She is an adjunct Professor in Trinity College Dublin. She is a registered General Nurse, Midwife and Midwife Tutor. Deirdre has 14 years third level education experience: as a module leader, as a course coordinator (undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery education programmes), in curriculum development and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research students.Teaching

Research & Interests
Deirdre's research interests extend to all areas of maternity care and healthcare, with specific topic expertise in perinatal sexual health, sexual health and postpartum care. Deirdre has experience of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, mixed methods research, qualitative evidence synthesis, survey design and cohort studies.Publications
