The musicians, members of the ensemble Dubh Linn, which was founded by Ray, were invited to perform for His Serene Highness, Prince Albert II at the Chateau des Terassess in Cap d'Ail to celebrate St Patrick's Day 2018 by invitation of Monsieur Xavier Beck, Mayor of Cap D'Ail and deputy Regional Mayor of the Alpes-Maritimes.

The prestigious Chateau des Terassess was once a summer home of to the Grand Duke Alexandrovitch, brother of Tsar Nicolas II. In addition to the highy successful private recital for 150 invited guests the ensemble gave a further sold-out public concert the following night where their a capella rendition of the 'Aul Triangle' brought a standing ovation. Also pictured are fellow Dubh Linn ensemble members Fionnuala Fay and Adrian Lalor. Ray is carrying out research on the C#/D accordion under the supervision of Mr Paul McGettrick and Dr Eibhlís Farrell. Interestingly both Fionnuala and Helen are former students of Dr Farrell’s while at DIT, both BMusED graduates.
