DkIT Students Selected for Dublin International Film Festival

21 February 2023

A selection of DkIT Film & TV student’s short films has been once again nominated for competition at the Dublin International Film Festival. This award-winning course in the Institute produces yearly prize winners both nationally and internationally and there is no doubt the winning streak will continue for all selected.

Programme Director of the BA (Hons) in Film & Television Production, Sarah McCann added;

'We are immensely proud that our students continue to garner great success with their short films on a national and international stage.  The judging panel for this event advised that they were inundated with entries this year from Film & TV courses all across Ireland and had some very tough decisions to make, so for these films to be part of the shortlist demonstrates that the quality of the work produced in Dundalk IT is of a very high standard.  Last year our short film 'Martians from the Planet Jupiter' won the Best Live Action category at this event, so here's hoping for another win for our students this year!'
