DkIT Open Day Welcomes Prospective Students

05 December 2022

Dundalk Institute of Technology was absolutely delighted to recently welcome over 1,300 prospective students and their families on to campus as part of an Open Day event. Students and their families from across the North Leinster-South Ulster region and further afield visited the Institute to get a taster of what undergraduate life is like at DkIT. This event included opportunities to meet with lecturers, speak to current students and explore the latest facilities and equipment in use across DkIT.

The campus tours were one of the highlights of the event which saw DkIT ambassadors expertly guiding prospective students across the Institute’s expansive state of the art facilities. In addition to campus tours the Institute’s sports hall was transformed into an exhibition gallery for DkIT’s eclectic range of courses which are offered in the four schools of Health & Science, Engineering, Business & Humanities and Informatics & Creative Arts.

DkIT was recently delighted to report that initial projections indicate a significant increase of almost 14% in their student intake for 2022/2023 and they hope to build on this growth next year. Furthermore, the Institute is also delighted to report that 97% of its graduates are in employment or further education within 12 months of graduating. DkIT would align these graduate successes to their small classroom sizes and their dedicated and award-winning staff who supply high quality personalised and accessible education which is academically focused on practical work skills and employability.

DkIT will host an information session for students and families on Saturday 21st January 2023 in advance of the CAO application deadline. Staff from our admissions team, student services, academic courses and student ambassadors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about CAO and completing your application.
