DkIT Hosts Showcase for MSc in Computer Animation and MSc in Games & Extended Reality

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) recently hosted a showcase of some of the work from the MSc in Computer Animation and the MSc in Computer Games and Extended Reality. This was shown as part of a live stream using Microsoft Teams.



There was a diverse variety of exciting projects including animation, games and extended reality designs introduced, showing imaginative use of VFX, immersive storytelling and a convergence of emerging technologies. These projects are driven as a result of each of the students own unique individual research interests and a culmination of skills that they have developed throughout the two year online courses. The courses has seen them develop strong creative technical skills for equipping them to work in the animation, games and XR industries.

The evening ended with a high positive note and those who joined the live stream, thoroughly enjoyed viewing the range of creative projects and listening to the processes, tools and techniques that students used to create these, commenting on the high quality of work to a professional industry standard. 

It proved insightful and informative for the audience and congratulations to all the students and their achievements.
