DkIT Computing students travel to France for Coding Challenge

15 March 2019

Eleven 2nd year students from the BSc (Hons) in Computing traveled to France recently to participate in a week-long intensive coding project.

As well as our students, the project involved 11 students from the University of Lodz (Poland) and 22 students from the French host college (IUT de Lens).

The students were formed into teams, including other students from each of the three partner colleges. Students from all three institutes were tasked with building an app for a quiz, as well as engaging in coding activities and the design of a professional-looking app.

As well as developing technical skills, the project also helped to increase BSc (Hons) in Computing students' communications skills, as they had to present their work during three different presentations throughout the week.

And finally to celebrate the successful trip, the DkIT students also got the opportunity to spend a free-day in Paris.
