Wear Her Story Opens Applications for Young Women Aged 16-25

Applications are now open for Wear Her Story, a free cross-border creative programme from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) and Glow NI that will help young women aged 16 to 25 explore fashion, heritage, wellbeing and emerging digital technologies.

Funded through PEACEPLUS Changemakers, the free 15-month initiative will provide participants with opportunities to explore cultural identity, creativity and wellbeing through digital fashion, digital fabrication and immersive storytelling. No previous experience is needed—just an interest in being creative, meeting new people and learning new skills.

Taking place across Dundalk, Belfast and Dublin from September 2026 to December 2027, the programme has been designed to encourage creativity, confidence-building and personal development while helping participants develop valuable digital and creative skills.

Participants will explore a wide range of innovative topics, including:

  • Digital fashion and animation
  • 3D printing and laser cutting
  • 3D scanning for virtual worlds
  • AR filters and virtual try-ons
  • Recycled fashion and textile design with paper
  • Immersive worlds and virtual galleries

You will take part in creative bootcamps, museum visits, wellbeing and entrepreneurship activities, monthly online meet-ups and a final exhibition in December 2027.

What’s Included in the Programme

  • All workshops, materials and resources
  • Transport to activities in Dundalk, Belfast and Dublin
  • Lunches and refreshments
  • Museum visits in Belfast and Dublin
