Dundalk Institute of Technology and Queen’s University Belfast celebrate the next chapter in growing partnership

DkIT recently celebrated the formal endorsement of a Heads of Agreement with Queen’s University Belfast underscoring a joint commitment to cross-border collaboration in teaching and learning, research and innovation, and community engagement.

This agreement lays the groundwork for DkIT becoming a college of Queen’s University Belfast, expanding high quality university education and research opportunities and strengthening collaboration across the island.

We were delighted to welcome Professor Sir Ian Greer and friends and colleagues from Queen's University Belfast to the DkIT campus to mark the next chapter in our growing partnership.

It was fantastic to also be joined by Minister James Lawless and colleagues from Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Higher Education Authority and Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), local representatives, and staff and student representatives who have been a fantastic support on this exciting journey to date.

We look forward to seeing our collaboration with Queen’s continue to prosper as we work towards establishing DkIT as a University College of Queen’s University Belfast. We can't wait to watch the fantastic impact this partnership will have on our staff, students, industries and communities.
