DkIT Students Compete in International Construction Management Competition
Two final-year Construction Management students from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), Lorenzo Smith and Eoin Purdy, recently took part in the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 8 Student Competition held in Dublin last week.
Lorenzo and Eoin competed in the Project Management track as part of a collaborative team with two students from the University of Oklahoma. The team received outstanding feedback from the track sponsors, Flynn Construction, for their professionalism and teamwork.
Reflecting on the experience, Eoin said:
“It was great working with Trevor and Emilia from the University of Oklahoma. I learned a lot from them and from completing the competition, it was a great experience.”
The team was coached by Joanne White (DkIT, Department of the Built Environment) and Dr. Tamara McCuen (University of Oklahoma).
This was an amazing achievement and a fantastic representation of DkIT on an international stage, well done to all involved!
