DkIT Careers Fair 2025 brings together students and employers to explore potential careers
Over 70 employers recently visited Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) to engage with students at the annual Careers Fair.
Employers from diverse sectors — including Engineering, the Built Environment, Business, Finance, Hospitality, Social Care, Youth Work, Sports, IT, Computing, Health, and Science — attended the event. Throughout the day, students from all disciplines had the chance to explore graduate programmes, work placements, internships, and career opportunities directly with potential employers.

Organised by the Careers & Employability Centre, the fair aimed to enhance students’ awareness of employment opportunities at local, regional, and national levels, while offering insight into the key skills, qualities, and mindsets sought by recruiters. It also provided a valuable platform for employers to connect with students and graduates from DkIT’s four schools, representing a wide range of industry-focused undergraduate programmes.
Similarly to last year’s fair, companies in the areas of Engineering and the Built Environment were particularly well represented. Both students and staff had the opportunity to explore a wide range of career prospects, network with industry professionals, and gain valuable insights into numerous fields. Employers also engaged with DkIT’s academic teams and Regional Development Centre representatives to support industry start-ups, entrepreneurs, and applied research initiatives.
Anthony Murray, Head of Careers & Employability at DkIT, said:
"The DkIT Careers Fair is the ideal opportunity for our highly-skilled students and graduates to meet leading local and national employers and learn about placements, internships, and future job opportunities. It’s fantastic to see so many companies from the North-East Region and beyond attending this year to meet our students across the four schools. We are especially proud to welcome back past graduates who are now in new roles and sharing their experiences with current students, providing valuable insight into the many career paths available."
