Databases
The Library subscribes to a collection of databases covering a vast range of subject areas. Contents may include journal and newspaper articles, books, theses, reports, bibliographic details, conference proceedings and images.
Access to all online material supplied by De Chastelain Library, DkIT should be available on and off campus. Please report all access problems to [email protected].

How to Access the Databases
Log into a database using your network username and password. For some databases, you must click on 'Click here to log in' before entering your credentials. For information on how to search some databases, see our Library Guides.
Please note that these databases are hosted in a non-DkIT supported environment. You should be aware of this and take the necessary precautions with regard to the security of your personal data.
Once you sign in to a database you are agreeing to abide by Copyright Legislation & Licence Agreement Terms and Conditions. Databases may be accessed only by Authorised Users e.g. registered staff and students. Under our License Agreement Terms and Conditions all databases are for private individual study and research only. They must not be used for commercial purposes. Users may not reproduce, distribute, display, modify, transfer or transmit, in any form, or by any means, any Database or Service or any portion thereof.

Access to British, adopted European and international standards. From December 19, 2020, the FileOpen plugin will be required to access BSOL documents, find out more here.
