Ever wondered where a drop of water goes? This Science Week, join the H₂O Heroes team at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) for an unforgettable, hands-on journey through the wonderful world of water. Bring your family, collect your Water Passport, and set off on an immersive adventure that takes you from the tiniest water molecule, through our rivers and lakes, all the way to the ocean. Along the way, you'll become a scientist, discover amazing freshwater creatures, try exciting experiments, explore water through virtual reality (age + 16) and discover how we are all connected by water. And the best part is that you won't just explore the journey, you will become part of it.

Your Adventure Begins Here

1. Collect Your Water Passport

Every great explorer needs a passport. Collect your Water Passport and follow the journey of a drop of water through a series of exciting discovery rooms. Each stop brings new experiences, activities and fascinating things to learn.

2. Discover the Science of Water

What makes water so special? Step into the world of molecules and experiments as you investigate the amazing properties of water through hands-on activities with our H₂O Heroes scientists. Ask questions, make discoveries and experience what it's like to be a scientist!

3. Journey Through Our Rivers and Lakes Discover the hidden world beneath the water's surface.

Explore freshwater habitats, meet some of the tiny creatures that live in our rivers and lakes, and learn why healthy waterways are so important for wildlife, people and communities.

4. Dive into a Virtual Reality Experience

Get ready to explore water in a whole new way. Enjoy an exciting virtual reality (VR) experience as part of your journey and discover how technology can help us explore and understand the world around us.

5. Reach the Ocean and Add Your Drop

Your journey ends at our spectacular collaborative art installation, developed with visual artist Michelle Boyle. Created with contributions from children who attended H₂O Heroes summer camps, this growing artwork celebrates the incredible connections between water, nature and our communities. Now it's your turn. Add Your Drop to the installation by creating your own contribution and making a personal pledge to help protect our precious water environments. Together, we can create a ripple of positive change.

This experience is designed for families, children and curious minds of all ages.
