Film 20 years

The opening event will be at 11am which includes the launch of the Martha O'Neill Best Short Creative Documentary Prize followed by a day of screenings and graduate talks.  Screenings will include award-winning material produced across the years on the programme, while graduates speaking at the event are as follows:

The Martha O'Neill prize launch will be attended by many key theatre and film industry professionals such as Garry Hynes, Druid Theatre Company; Teresa McGrane, Wild Atlantic Pictures; Adrian McCarthy, Curious Dog Films; Anna Rodgers, Invisible Thread Films; and Philip McGovern, Big Mountain Productions, amongst others.

Martha was an esteemed Film & TV producer who passed away last year but who was also a great friend of the programme so we are delighted to be allowed to host this award in her honour.

The prize will be chosen each year by Adrian McCarthy, award-winning documentary director, who was Martha's partner in Wildfire Films for many years.  It will be awarded annually to the Best Short Creative Documentary made on the Creative Documentary module in 3rd year on the programme.
