Course Overview

This two-year part-time honours degree programme follows on from the level 7 Event Management programme, providing learners with an in-depth knowledge of the Event industry, enhancing superb employment opportunities. You will learn how to critically analyse and solve business problems, make decisions and generate long term business solutions. The programme consists of modules with an emphasis on strategic management in areas of:

  • HRM
  • Business Management
  • Finance
  • Marketing

All of which are brought together in a final research paper.

Course Delivery and Modules

Course runs over 2 years.
Year One classes run on Mondays from 9.00am to 5.00pm and Tuesdays 9.00am to 12.00pm (subject to change).

The programme is delivered through a mix of classroom based lectures, lab classes and online delivery. 

Education Progression

Graduates of the programme may progress to further studies at Level 9 either at DkIT or elsewhere. 

Fees and Funding

Total course fee: €3,000, €1,500 per annum (payable as follows):

YEAR 1

  • Accept Offer Fee: €200 (non-refundable)
  • Instalment 1 = €550 is payable by 31st October
  • Instalment 2 = €750 is payable by 28th February

YEAR 2

  • Instalment 1 = €750 is payable by 31st October
  • Instalment 2 = €750 is payable by 28th February

Entry Requirements

Applicants should hold a level 7 qualification in Event Management with a GPA OF 50% or above. Applicants who do not hold a level 7 qualification but have significant work experience can be assessed through the institute RPL process. More about RPL at DkIT
