Course Overview

I.S. 10101 is the National Rules for Electrical Installations in Ireland - the standard underpinning all electrical design, installation, inspection, and certification work in the country. Until now, no standalone formal qualification existed in Ireland providing dedicated, structured training on navigating and applying it in practice.

The programme develops participants’ ability to navigate and apply the standard efficiently in real working conditions, ensuring they are current with the latest amendments and equipped to carry out, document, and certify inspection and testing activities.

This programme is relevant to all practising electricians, Registered Electrical Contractors, Qualified Certifiers, and allied professionals working in electrical compliance roles in Ireland - whether seeking formal recognition of their standards knowledge, fulfilling CPD requirements, or getting ahead of an industry where structured training on I.S. 10101 is increasingly expected.

It supports compliance with CRU and Safe Electric requirements and equips professionals for Ireland’s growing demand in renewable technologies, new and emerging electrical installations, and energy efficiency upgrades.

What makes this course different

Understanding the Industry

Structured formal training on national wiring regulations is well established across electrical industries in Northern Ireland, the rest of the UK, and across Europe, where periodic refresher training following major amendments is standard professional practice.

This programme brings that same level of rigour to Ireland, equipping you with the kind of demonstrable, up-to-date competence that CRU and Safe Electric increasingly expect from registered professionals.
