Academic Regulations for Postgraduate Degrees by Research and Thesis (QQI Awards)
The Institute’s Academic Regulations for postgraduate research degrees have been developed so as to protect the Institute’s academic standards and the interests of the individual students. The regulations have been developed and guided by the Irish Universities Quality Board’s (IUQB) “Guidelines for Good Practice in the Organisation of PhD Programmes in Irish Higher Education”, 2nd edition (2009); the “Irish Universities PhD Graduate Skills’ Statement” (2009); and HETAC’s “Research Degree Programme Policy and Criteria” (2009). All students enrolled for a research degree are bound by these regulations and by the Institute’s Student Code of Conduct
