Parchment Collection for 2021 Graduates

Parchments can be obtained from 9th November 2021 to 10th December 2021 as follows:

Please note: Uncollected parchments will be archived on the 13th December 2021. Parchments requested using the collection options outlined above on or after this date will incur a retrieval fee of €50.00.


Collect in person

Call to the Awards Office in PJ Carrolls Building as follows:

  • Tuesday 9th November – Friday 19th November
    • 10am – 12pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday only.
  • Monday 22nd November – Friday 26th November
    • 11am – 12pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday only.
  • Monday 29th November – Friday 10th December
Collect by a nominated person

You can nominate someone to call to the Awards Office ensuring they produce photographic identification and a signed letter from you (the graduate) authorising them to collect your parchment on your behalf.  

By Post

If you wish to receive your parchment by post (and have not already filled out a Graduation Non-Attendance form) there is a fee of €10.00 for P&P. 

Email to request this option and you will be given instructions on how to pay the fee. Please include your correct mailing address in the email.

Booking Your Robes

All graduands must graduate in academic robes. Academic robes must be pre-booked on-line using a credit or debit card from the Institute’s robemakers, Armstrong and Oxford no later than 22nd of October.  

The cost per graduand is €33 online OR €35 on the day.   If you are graduating with a doctorate degree (PhD) the cost is €38 online OR €40 on the day.   All graduands are invited to wear caps.

Graduation Photographs


Lafayette Photography is the official photography/framing provider for DKIT graduation ceremonies.

These services will be located in MacAnna Theatre and available from 2 hours before your ceremony until 30 minutes before your ceremony.

 The studios will re-open after your ceremony.

For the best experience on graduation day, it is strongly advised to pre-book your photography online at Online bookings will close at midday the day before your graduation day.

Please note that all queries regarding photographs should be made directly to Lafayette.  

Graduation Ball

Friday 29th of October.

Venue: Crowne Plaza Dundalk.

Ticket Sales: Tickets on sale the days of graduation beside gown hire

  • 1 ticket per student.
  • Tickets will be €20.
  • Live Music & DJ on the night.
  • Champagne reception and finger food.


Outstanding Fees/Fines/Library Books

In order for you to graduate all outstanding fees and fines up to the academic year 2020/2021 must be paid in full on or before 15th October 2021. To pay any outstanding fees please contact

Overdue library loans for the same period must also be returned by this date.

Your Careers Team

We are here to support you through your transition from college to career! Recent Graduates are given the opportunity to use the Career Service for a full year after graduation, free of charge. This gives you access to the full spectrum of online and in-person resources to help you on your pathway to success!

Car Parking

If you are arriving at the Institute by car, please enter the campus via the Dublin Road Entrance (see campus map), where you will be directed to available parking.
