Conferring ceremonies are joyous occasions when the entire DkIT community comes together to honour its new graduates. The conferring of awards is a very special ceremony for you, your family and friends, and for the academic staff of DkIT who have guided you over the last number of years. We would like to congratulate you on this fantastic achievement and wish you every success in the future.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE FOR CONFERRING 2019:

  • Conferring Ceremonies will take place on the DkIT campus from Wednesday 30th October to Friday 1st November 2019. See specific details on conferring schedules further below on this page.
  • A notification letter regarding conferring will be sent to your mailing address (address on the Banner student management system). If you have not received this letter please email the Awards Office at awards@dkit.ie.
  • Information on this page is subject to change. Please keep referring back to this page for the latest updates on Conferring 2019.

Each ceremony will take place on the DkIT campus.
 If you or one of your guests requires assistance, please let us know in advance how we may assist you by emailing awards@dkit.iePlease ensure you read and check the date, day and time that you are graduating and plan ahead to allow for the ordering of your Graduation Robe, organisation of photography and seating of guests. 

Can't attend the ceremony?

If you are unable to attend the ceremony, your parchment will be awarded to you in absentia. You can confirm your non-attendance by completing our online form.

Booking Your Robes

The academic gown is part of the formal proceedings of the conferring ceremony and is a requirement for all graduands. Academic robes must be pre-booked on-line using a credit or debit card from the Institute’s robemakers, Armstrong and Oxford.

DkIT Graduation Invitations

Guest Invitations

Admission to your conferring ceremony is strictly by ticket only (guest invitations). As a graduand you will be able to request 2 guest invitations when you book your academic robe. You can collect these on the day of your conferring when you pick up your robe. Guest invitation(s) will be required for admittance into the conferring hall.

Graduation Photographs

Photographs

Lafayette Photography is the official photographers for DkIT and have been authorised to take graduation photographs on the day of graduation. Photography will be located in a convenient location on campus.

It is advisable to pre-book your photography online at www.lafayette.ie. Here you can activate your online account and view packages and prices.

Privacy notice to all students and guests: All students and guests attending graduation ceremonies should be aware that photographs/videos will be taken at the ceremony and there will be official photographers on campus taking photos/videos on both graduation days. As part of accepting the invitation to attend the graduation ceremony and agreeing to the terms and conditions of graduation, you are agreeing to the possibility that you will be photographed/videoed. These photographs/videos may be used for the DkIT website, the DkIT social channels and for other promotional materials. Students who do not wish to be photographed or videoed have the option to graduate in absentia.
