“I decided to study Agriculture because I wanted to learn and experience different methods and enterprises involved in farming. I decided to go to DkIT because I liked the choice of subjects covered in the sustainable Agriculture course."
I also thought the combination between DkIT and Ballyhaise Agriculture College was a good balance of academic and practical study. It was also a benefit that the college is close to home which allows me to work at home in the evenings while gaining a good education.
I really enjoyed the Agricultural Mechanisation and Precision Farming along with the Grassland and Crop Production modules. Going forward I am excited to start Sustainable Farm Production Systems in 4th year as it is very relevant at the moment to the issue of climate change and the role of agriculture.”
