Khan Academy is a free, online resource that contains thousands of mathematics videos and quizzes which can be accessed at anytime.
Each member state has National Contact Points (NCPs) whose role is to provide information and support to Horizon2020 applicants. The mission of the NCPs is to raise awareness, inform and advise on funding opportunities. They can also support in the preparation, submission and follow-up of a grant application.
The Centre for Renewable Energy at Dundalk IT (CREDIT) was founded in 2002; its mission remains, "to assist Ireland’s transition to a renewable energy-based economy".
CREDIT is an applied research centre; its research interests include wind energy, energy storage, bio-energy and, recently, wave energy.
The aim of a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) is to contribute to the scientific objectives of a COST Action. These missions (Exchange Visits) are aimed at strengthening the existing networks by allowing scientists to go to an institution or laboratory in another COST country to foster collaboration, to learn a new technique or to take measurements using instruments and/or methods not available in their own institution/laboratory. They are particularly intended for early stage researchers and post-graduate students, but are also open to other participants.

CREDIT is primarily concerned with applied research and industrially viable research activities. This has meant that there is an open attitude to industry needs, and applied research projects have been the most prominent activity of the Centre.

Ageing research within DkIT is led by the Netwell (Social Networks, Environments and Technologies for Wellness and Ageing-in-place) and CASALA (Centre for Affective Solutions for Ambient Living Awareness) research centres. Netwell/CASALA are working together in collaboration with industry, governmental bodies and other academic Institutes in developing new ideas that enhance the quality of life and well-being of older people and those who care for them, through more integrated community-oriented services, more sustainable home and neighbourhood design, and more age-friendly technologies.
The aim of DkIT Student Services is to increase student retention, widen participation, develop the first-year student experience and provide support services to all DkIT full-time students.
Student Services has a key role in contributing to the strategic planning of the Institute. The Student Services staff provide a range of professional, student-focused services that enhance the mission of the Institute.
Student Services, which operates under the umbrella of the Registrar's Office, is the section of the Institute which deals explicitly with non-academic supports for students.
Staff in Student Services work closely with all other areas of the Institute, including the Students' Union, to ensure that the welfare of students is paramount. Most of the services are situated in the Padraig Faulkner Building , adjacent to the Multi-purpose Centre.
