This is information on the journey of a research postgraduate student at DkIT and the different options available.
There are two ways in which you can join the Postgraduate community in DkIT. If you meet the criteria, you can apply to any of our open postgraduate positions or you can apply to join the Postgraduate register based on the submission of a proposal of your own research topic.
Continued registration as a Postgraduate Student is dependent on the successful completion of formally evaluated Annual Progress Monitoring Report.
Step 1: After 2/3 years of hard work you must submit a notice of intention to submit a thesis a minimum of 3 months in advance of the submission. Read More
Step 2: Your thesis will be examined which will recommend a final outcome.
Step 3: Based on the outcome of the thesis examination in step 2 you may be notified that you can progress to Graduation.
Step 1: 12-22 months after initial registration you can transfer to the PhD stream.
