DkIT Launches Student Survey To Gather Feedback on Student Experience
28 October 2020Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has launched a new survey to gather feedback from DkIT students on how student experience has been affected during Semester One 2020/21. In light of new operating procedures as result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been many unprecendented changes to how students learn, socialise and engage in student life. DkIT is therefore seeking to assess a broad range of student perspectives and collect constructive insights that will inform how the institute can make changes to better serve and support students in the coming year.
The student survey is open to all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students and is available to access until 6th November 2020 at 5:00pm. The survey takes less that 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed by clicking the link below:
Speaking today, Dr Brendan Ryder, Head of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance said,
"We are delighted to launch our student survey today for all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students. DkIT is dedicated to helping all our students achieve their potential. We remain committed to proactively supporting the academic and personal success of all students during and subsequent to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This survey will allow us to find out about how students are managing the move to a blended learning model. The feedback will be used to review and inform approaches to learning, teaching and student supports. This feedback is particularly important this year. The results of the survey will be carefully considered and appropriate actions will be taken to support the overall success and well-being of all students."
All responses to the survey are entirely anonymous and confidential. The survey has been designed to ensure that responses cannot be used to identify specific students and participants are advised not to mention individuals by name in their responses. Responses will be aggregated across all courses/programmes across the institute. This aggregated response will be passed confidentially to the appropriate School(s) and Student Services Support Unit(s) so that they can proactively action feedback provided as appropriate.
DkIT plans to distribute the feedback survey at least twice each semester in the academic year 2020/2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that the instutute remains responsive to the fast-evolving situation.
Please note that the survey is open to all current DkIT students excluding research postgraduate students.
