The DkIT Dundalk 10k 2021 once again took the form of a virtual run and proved to be very successful with over 1150 people registering. Two local charities were selected and donations of €4,000 each were made to Cara Cancer Support and Rape Crisis North East. €1,000 was also donated to the ‘Save Our Sonia’ campaign.

The donation of €9,000 brings to almost €50,000 in charitable donations from DkIT since first organising the event in 2014.

Speaking at the presentations, DkIT Sports and Societies Officer Derek Crilly said;

“we’re delighted with the support that our event received and with 1150 registrations, this year we had the largest participation to date. This support enabled us to make significant donations to three very worthy charities. Through organising the event we get to see the fantastic work that these charities do and we hope that our donations can help in some small way to continue this work.
