Development coaches from DkIT’s Regional Development Centre deliver third Boyne Innovate Programme for Drogheda Digital Hub
16 April 2025Certified development coaches from DkIT’s Regional Development Centre recently delivered the third Boyne Innovate Programme for Drogheda Digital Hub.
The recently completed Boyne Innovate programme was conceived to support individuals in the greater Drogheda area with a digital business idea. Three 8-week evening programmes ran since June 2024 with the third and final programme finishing just before Easter 2025. 30 individuals were supported to take their business idea through a structured framework to determine commercial feasibility and to equip participants with an understanding of the requirements to launch their digital businesses. The Boyne Innovate Programme helped them explore their business idea with a dedicated toolkit to experiment, model and map the business value. It then strengthened their ability to articulate why the business idea matters and how it creates value. Participants were supported to pitch the business idea to funding agencies and signposted to the next stage for funding or support.
The Boyne Innovate Programme is part of the Drogheda Digital Hub initiative to leverage internationally proven innovation development methodologies delivered by the hugely experienced team of certified development coaches from the Regional Development Centre at Dundalk IT. The programme was funded by Louth County Council and Louth LEO and was also supported as part of the EU Brexit Adjustment Reserve (BAR).
This programme saw exciting business ideas in HealthTech, EdTech, BioTech, SportsTech, Digital Services and more from the wider Drogheda area. Some have already progressed onto other support programmes such as New Frontiers and secured funding and availed of Local Enterprise Office Feasibility Study grants, etc. We wish all our programme participants the very best of luck and extend our ongoing support as they progress their businesses.
