Are you a student in another Higher Education Institute who would like to transfer to DkIT?

We are pleased to welcome students who have completed Higher Certificate (Level 6) or Ordinary Degrees (Level 7) programmes in other Institutes and who wish to pursue relevant Ordinary Degrees (Level 7) or Honours Degree (Level 8) programmes at DkIT.

Entry Requirements

• Level 7 Ordinary Degree (post-Higher Certificate) Programmes: In order to proceed to an ordinary degree (post-higher certificate) programme in DkIT you will need to have completed a higher certificate course in DkIT, or equivalent elsewhere.
• Level 8 Honours Degree (post-Ordinary Degree) Programmes: In order to proceed to an honours degree programme you will need to have completed an ordinary degree course in DkIT, or equivalent elsewhere, and to have obtained the relevant qualifying standard at award level.

Apply to Transfer to DkIT (Entry to Years 2, 3 or 4)

All advanced entry applications to year 2, 3 or 4 of a course at DkIT should be made directly to Dundalk Institute of Technology through the Online Applications System.

Applications must be submitted by the last Friday in June. (Late applications may be accepted in exceptional cases.)

Apply for Internal Transfer within DkIT

Current DkIT students can apply for Internal transfer to 1st Year of another programme of study at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).
