Conferring 2025 Information

Congratulations on your success in completing your programme of study at Dundalk Institute of Technology. We hope you found your study with us enjoyable, challenging and rewarding and that it will be beneficial to you in whatever you plan for the future.

To mark your achievement, we are delighted to announce that this year’s DkIT Conferring Ceremonies will take place on Thursday 30th October and Friday 31st October 2025.

Each graduand can invite a maximum of two guests to their ceremony.

Hire of Academic Robes

All graduands must graduate in academic robes. Academic robes must be pre-booked online from our official robemakers Armstrong and Oxford no later than 23rd of October 2025.

The cost per graduand is €39 online and €44 on the day for ALL awards. All graduands are invited to wear caps.

Please ensure that you know the exact qualification you are to be awarded (e.g. Higher Certificate, Higher Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, Honours Bachelor Degree, Ordinary Bachelor Degree, Masters or Doctorate).

Collection of Academic Robes

Academic robes must be collected by the graduand in the Robing Collection Area located in M111 (Muirhevna Building) as follows:

Robe Return

Academic robes should be returned to the Robing Return Area located in Muirhevna Building after the ceremony. This room will be open until 7.00pm on Thursday 30th October and Friday 31st October 2025.

Armstrong & Oxford also offer an extended robe hire option to graduands who wish to take their robes with them for an extended time.

Graduation Photography

Photography

Lafayette Photography is the official photography/framing provider for DKIT graduation ceremonies. These services will be located in MacAnna Theatre and available from 2 hours before your ceremony until 30minutes before your ceremony. The studios will re-open after your ceremony. 

For the best experience on graduation day, it is strongly advised to pre-book your photography online at www.lafayette.ie/graduation/book. Please note that all queries regarding photographs should be made directly to Lafayette.

Outstanding Fees/Fines/Library Books

In order for you to graduate, all outstanding fees and fines up to the academic year 2025-26 must be paid in full.

Overdue library loans for the same period must also be returned.

Car Parking

If you are arriving to the Institute by car, please enter the campus via the Dublin Road Entrance (see Campus Map), where you will be directed to available parking. Please abide by the campus speed limit and only park in designated parking spaces. Parking on double yellow lines is strictly prohibited.

There will be no parking fees on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st October 2025.

DkIT Graduate Outcome Survey

Graduate Outcomes Survey

All HEI’s in Ireland undertake a Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) each year to establish what paths graduates have taken and receive valuable feedback and insights. This survey is typically done approximately 9 months after graduation around May/June.

Next year when you receive the GOS survey from DKIT, please take a few moments to complete & submit. Your input is valued.
