CAO Offer Process — Your Offer

This page contains information about the CAO and the steps you will follow as you make your way to becoming an undergraduate student at DkIT.

Accepting Your CAO Offer

Offers for first year are issued via the CAO, over a series of rounds, from July to September.

To accept your offer from DkIT, log on to the CAO website at cao.ie. You must do this before the reply date published by the CAO.

Registration

You will be issued with a Registration and Induction Pack by DkIT after the CAO final acceptance date for your particular round of offers.

This pack will be sent to the email address that you supplied to the CAO and it will include links to information you will need to get you started on your student journey at DkIT.

Once you receive this email, you should log in to complete your online induction and online registration with the details provided. 

I haven’t received an offer, what can I do?

If you don’t receive an offer in the first round, you may still receive an offer in later offer rounds. Contact our admissions team to discuss your options through by email at admissions@dkit.ie

CAO Deferral

If you have received an offer from the CAO and wish to defer the offer, please do not accept the offer, instead please complete this form which must be received in the Admissions Office before the CAO offer reply date (As published on CAO website).

Available Places 

Available Places are courses that still have spaces available at DkIT after CAO offers have been given out. If you are unhappy with the offer you received or if you haven't been given an offer through CAO, then you can apply for a new course through the Available Places facility through the CAO website.
