Rory is a graduate of NUI Maynooth and a lecturer in DkIT's School of Computing, Music and Creative Media. Since completed his studies he has collaborated with a diverse range of artists both as a musician and in the capacity of audio software developer. His music is regularly performed at events throughout Europe and his audio software is being used by musicians and sound artists around the world. His software is being used in teaching at DkIT as well as several other universities around the globe, including Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, Trondheim University, and St.Petersburg's University of Telecommunications. Rory makes extensive use of the Csound host API, and has used it to make Csound accessible within a host of audio applications, ranging from DAWs to industry leading audio middle ware. He has presented his academic research at conferences throughout Europe and the USA, and was a contributor to the “Audio Programming Book” published by M.I.T. Press in 2011.
All of Rory's audio software is available for free under the GNU General Public License.
