DkIT students in Tanzania with the Volunteering Society

In July 2012, six students from Dundalk Institute of Technology took part in an overseas volunteer assignment in Twa Twa Twa village, Parakuyo, Morogoro in Tanzania.

The volunteers worked for two weeks alongside six fellow Tanzanian volunteers on the following projects: renovation of a local primary school in the village and provision of extra tuition to secondary school pupils. Each volunteer had to raise €2,000 to fund the trip and this was raised through individual fundraising projects; the volunteers were also assisted financially by DkIT.
