Clubs and Societies are an integral part of Student Life. There is something for everyone whether a student is sporting inclined or not!

The efficiency, effectiveness, and success of most Clubs and Societies depend on the effort of a small core group of people.

Choosing an efficient, streamlined mode of organisation is important to the success of a club, but no amount of streamlining will replace good, honest and hardworking members. Achieving anything depends primarily on getting people enthused to do some work.

Clubs and Societies add to the quality of life at College, and with over 60 clubs and societies at DKIT to chose from, there is something for everyone. However some clubs or more active than others, some raise thousands of euro, either through sponsorship or  fundraising, some travel to distant lands, others cannot successfully minute a meeting. The function of this online handbook is to help committee members with running their club or society and point them in the correct  direction and help them develop and foster self-organised and self maintained clubs and societies.
